First
I took such a long time to update!Anyway,I've attended school for nearly a month now and I must say I'm enjoying it every single day.First year units,compared to those in the second year,are relatively different in terms of essay questions and a whole lot of other stuff.
I'm taking Media Studies,Newsroom Practise,Effective Writing and Human Behaviour.I absolutely adore Media Studies because it teaches you how to interpret the media,how to analyse the media texts and not to believe whatever they portray no matter how true it may seem.Thus,for the first assignment on this unit,I've to choose a show currently on TV and analyse it.Guess what I'm doing?Sex and The City!It's damn cool right?I need to write an essay and give a presentation on it.
Newroom Practice got us to write intros/leads base on articles and to get a feel of how hard news are,it's the toughest of all cause it requires you to have a good knowledge of local,national and international news.Slowly but surely,I'll get the hang of it!Effective writing,teaches you to write proper sentence structure and to have zero grammar errors.It's quite good and it helps me a lot in wanting to perfect my written/oral in English.Plus the fact,I'll be coming back to teach as an English educator,so I have to got to know my language!
Human Behaviour, this unit got me to buy the most expensive book in my entire life - AUD$125.Right now,I'm learning why people like to form groups,how certain group have a certain vibe and some people are attracted to them and others are repulsive towards them.How we human have evolve since million years ago and how our identity is shape by the influence we have around us.We're still in the first chapter so ya,imagine how thick it is.
All in all,I'm enjoying my time very much in school!I have 2 friends whom will appear on my blog pretty soon..haha!
I miss home so much,just this weekend,mum fell and injured her wrists,knuckles and broke a finger while mopping the floor.zzz,got sis and me to think,if we were both home and do the housechores,mum won't end up in such a state.Dad fell really ill last week as well..zzz,kinda suck all these things are happening when we're not home.I miss my dogs like crazy,each time i see a canine,it reminds me of Fluffy and Bubbles(no matter how irritating he was,miss disturbing him!)Miss you all back in SG,it is just so different having friends here and back in little red dot.
