Ladies First
This evening I was taking the MRT to have dinner and there was this group of Caucasian probably in their late twenties/early thirties?
When the train did arrive,I was surprised when he put his hand out towards the train door,looked at me,smiled and said 'Ladies first'.I was WOWed and thank him for his small yet very gentleman gesture.When he said that,I was kinda stunned by this as I've never been treated this way by a total stranger.
I kept thinking about it and really,How often do man say that to woman nowadays?NEVER!!!
Even on buses,trains,cars or even the entrance of a mall.All they do is squeeze pass you and does the most irritating sound of 'TSK'.Of course,times have changed and woman do not need to rely on man to open doors for them here and there but it is nice to be treated this way.
Bias I am towards the caucasians,maybe they have a different background that they grow up in where they are taught that they should put ladies before them.I just love how they treat their woman.
haha,come to think of it..how many total stranger guys in our country other than foreigners ever said or done something like that to you?
