Gym + Katong Laksa
Updates!After I've started work,it seems like I'm abandoning my blog.lols,Anyway,I went to Pei Hwa Presbyterian Primary School to teach.I really love the classroom setting and all the kids listening to me instead of running around and screaming into my ears.
Yeap,I really do love it there,I got to see different kinds of af abilities,they are really smart and they could write flowery words for their compos.I think I looked young so they started asking me if i game,quite hilarious,cause I kept telling them to complete their worksheet then I will them more.Overall,I think it was such a fantastic exp.
Anyway,went to gym @ RTC with john after that!It's been super long since I last hit the gym and lift proper weights..like 5yrs?The machines were quite intimidating as they had so mnay buttons and I just had no idea,so embarassing..lols,but it was sucha gooood feeling,now my back having muscle ache..I thought,weee,good toning session until!we ate this!
Went to katong with net/kc to have laksa!=D
I was taking the pics for them,so that explains my absence!haha!
all thanks to the BF,we had good desserts!<3..

Christian Lacroix,The Costumier @ The National Museum
The exhibition is on from 20th March - 7th June.I soo wanna go!Anyone!!!??
Cant afford yet,So I shall just use my eye power!
'Only Good Children Gets Pretty Stickers'
was the line I kept using for the entire trail trip to Jacob Ballas Children's Garden at Bt timah with Fuchun Primary School.
Only at the word 'Stickers!' will everyone come to me and listen attentively.I brought them there for an educational trail about english,maths and science.Ya,science,I spent about 15mins teaching them how to spell 'ONE' and a good period of time teaching them 'AND','HARD','SOFT' and many others.I think the entire booklet was quite difficult for primary 1 cause they havent gotten a good command of language.Do you know that there are many school where their P1 kids are learning science??I didnt know!
God was very good to me,the night before,I prayed for really really really really cloudy weather and He did!Prayerfully,He will keep all my susequent trails extremely cloudy! =D It was pretty tough,seriously for a newbie like me to take on 15 hyperactive kids,at least they responded when I ask them to repeat what I say.It was funny cause I kept having this urge to say 'turn to your neighbours and say.....' and even 'Amen'..I try not to say it cause I think the teacher will seriously complain to my coordinator that I'm preaching instead of teaching.
Anyway,I think the boys only like 'Superman' stickers and I bought very cute lil bear stickers which they have no interest of!bleah!!However,The teacher-in-charge was like an angel,she helped me control the cheeky ones and I did not have to keep raising my voice cause I didnt wanna scare the kids and omg,what if they cry???-_- and they eat alot,like really alot.During the break time,they were given hotdog buns,after they finished,this particular kid looks as if his parents transformed the entire fridge into a mini bag,he had twisties,choco crunch,choco roll,grape biscuit,sandwiches.....
We didn't managed to finish the whole trail though cause it rained and we were stuck under a hut for about 30mins.When the trail came to an ending,I told them to recap what I've taught them and surprisingly they could tell me all the main station and what we did!So clever!Yays!
Oh,and it was only 2hrs,gosh,patiencee..haha,ok,4 more trails to go!
Manage to take only 1 shot of the kids during break!

Ok,as much as XX's(Xiaxue) blog is usually filled with very 'colourful' words,I do enjoy her writing style very much as it's pretty engaging and some what educating in certain areas we normally do not tap into.The video is on personal etiquette and its hilarious,at least to me!

Ladies First
This evening I was taking the MRT to have dinner and there was this group of Caucasian probably in their late twenties/early thirties?
When the train did arrive,I was surprised when he put his hand out towards the train door,looked at me,smiled and said 'Ladies first'.I was WOWed and thank him for his small yet very gentleman gesture.When he said that,I was kinda stunned by this as I've never been treated this way by a total stranger.
I kept thinking about it and really,How often do man say that to woman nowadays?NEVER!!!
Even on buses,trains,cars or even the entrance of a mall.All they do is squeeze pass you and does the most irritating sound of 'TSK'.Of course,times have changed and woman do not need to rely on man to open doors for them here and there but it is nice to be treated this way.
Bias I am towards the caucasians,maybe they have a different background that they grow up in where they are taught that they should put ladies before them.I just love how they treat their woman.
haha,come to think of it..how many total stranger guys in our country other than foreigners ever said or done something like that to you?
