SIA CABIN CREW INTERVIEW
Yst I went for the SIA Cabin Crew Interview at Sheraton,that explained the hair bun..Indeed it was an eye opening experience for me as I've never been there before and yes,there were sooo many women there.I was with this girl and we were talking about it and it looked so much like a beauty pageant audition.
Yes,I've said this yst for quite a few times to those who asked but I'm still going to blog about it in case someone googles 'SIA Cabin Crew Interview'..hehehe!However,it was only until Round 3.......
Well,I waited for my turn for about an hour,and when it was my turn,they did a height check and told me to touch a point on a wall.And then I proceeded to the waiting room with 9 other girls.My grp no. was 39..Ok,just to let you know the harsh but the true fact..You have to be min. 1.58m cause there was 1 lady infront of me who was asked to leave because she was 1.57m.Also,the min req. is 5 'O' level credits cause another lady was asked to leave after queuing for nearly an hour cause she only had a 'N' level result.Quite a pity cause she looked pretty..So,young aspiring stewardess/stewards this gives you a good reason why you should do well for your 'Os' eh?
Ok,so when it was my grp's turn,walk in the room with great confidence but not cockiness,carry yourself well cause I think they observe you the moment you enter the room.There was 2 interviewers sitting in front of you.
You have to think fast on what they are going to ask,so mine was :
ROUND 1 - RANDOM QNS
'Introduce yourself and tell us why you want to be part of the cabin crew'.
He said 'Im going to give you a few mins to think' 5 sec later,'You may start now'.So don't be fooled..haha..When it's your turn,seriously..don't mention similar stuff about the person infront of you and you must captivate them with your personality.Speak confidently and express your interest to join them so much,they can see 'I WANT SIA' written all over your face.Of course,maintain your image.Even when I walked out and had my back facing them,I could still sense 2 pairs of eyes looking at us.I dont want to sound so bhb,but maybe these were some points that I did which made me the only 1 who got it to round 2 from my group.heh!If you have more,tag mee!
ROUND 2 - CONSTANT 'WHY DO YOU WANT TO BE PART OF THE CABIN CREW', KEBAYA FITTING AND COMPLEXION TEST.
So,I joined those from other grps that made it to the second round.As above,they repeated the same qn,so make sure you deliver it well each time they ask you.So,they made us do a CATWALK WITH KEBAYA..It was tight yet really fitting,haha..quite fun!They didnt had anymirrors in there nut it felt good on me..hehe!I was ready to take my camera out so I can blog and show you peeps how it was like inside..when I saw the 'No photgraphy sign'.So,I was the 10th person which made me the last person for my group to cat walk.And it doesn't help when I had dozens of eyes staring at me..I didnt know the kebaya skirt had such small space for you to walk in big strides.So,I took my first step and wanted to walk like some supermodel in Victoria's Secret,my right leg got pushed back from the tightness of the skirt.For a moment,I thought I'm so going to fall and die here.But lucky,I didnt!!I then,gelek my way to her..haha!Ok,so they made me walked back and fro,asked qns,checked the front and back of my forearms.And I proceeded to the next station,which was the 'Complexion Test'.They asked the same qn again and when they were done,they checked my hands all the way to the forearm,had an extremely bright yellow light shining in my face and was told to look left and right.And I made it to the next round with 2 others!
ROUND 3 - ONE TO ONE INTERVIEW
So,this was the part that cut my hopes of flying for free.Still,I don't know why I didnt made it.Perhaps,I didnt answer their scenario qns as what they would want to hear as the qns were really tricky ones.I thought I spoke really well and I did gave my best shot at it.Well,he asked me the same qn again and gave scenario qns and all.I was feeling alil crappy getting rejected after coming so far and if I had passed this,I'll get into the final interview and be an Air Stewardess!Bleah,oh well,It indeed was a great enriching experience for me.
Just go for it,like me..you'll never know,I was going there to try and got into the 3rd round.If you're 101% sure you're not going to be anything except being an A.S for your whole life.Then,hey..you're prob going to make it far!Know what,I'm already thinking if I should go for the next one..!Till then!
